Funds were raised and fun was had at the annual Discovery House Father's Day event in Penticton Sunday.
The by-donation event saw hundreds of attendees, and Discovery House executive director Jerome Abraham was thrilled.
"We had a great turnout, we had great weather," Abraham said. "We sold out of our food."
Sunday's event saw a bouncy castle, road hockey game, face-painting, barbecue and much more at Skaha Lake Park. The Fire Department even made an appearance, opening up a truck for kids to explore.
"We've been showing lots and lots of kids through the truck and giving them an idea of what we do on a day-to-day basis," said Captain Graham Vujcich.
A popular attraction was the dunk tank. Abraham himself was dunked several times, and said the water was very cold, but refreshing on such a hot day.
The event raised thousands of dollars for the addiction recovery services Discovery House offers.
